born bjorg has been working the crowds of switzerland and beyond for around 3 years now. holding a residency at genevas famous le zoo (usine) since early 2008, the young and talented duo have already shared the bill with artists such as lee curtiss, seth troxler, christian burkhardt and crowdpleaser (among others) in notorious clubs in switzerland (weetamix, la ruche) and abroad (social club, batofar, paris).

with the release of >free k. loudwiggle< the accumulation of impressions from over the last 2 years has ended. the musical production took about 21 months working in berlin and the circle. during the productionperiod my technical tools and instruments enormously developed making it a very inspiring time to create and arrange rythmics and harmonies.
at a dark night in autumn 2009 i decided to move back from berlin to the circle. back around christmas 2009 the quiet wintermonths took over and re-created the studio in the circle where i was able to sitdown and mixdown the tracks i created over the last 21 months in berlin.
for the first time i decided to give this particular album the unique touch by handmaking all the artwork. every single record has been handstamped both sides, the covers manually printed and put together. all 200 pieces are different and have their own singular identity. now, at the end of june 2010 i can present this big collection of expressions. quagmire ltd is a small platform to release this debutalbum. limited to 200 pieces of triplepack 12 inch including 13 mixes.

pablo mandelbrot claims to be from bar harbor, maine on the north-eastern coast of the u.s.a. when asked about his upbringing he mentions various occupations including sardine canner and quota negotiator as well as hinting at some dark years spent working in the aqua-culture industry. about his music he says little, summing up his productions with the cryptic declaration: >disco is a deep sea<. we are not entirely sure where or when the two tracks on this 12inch were recorded and the only information from mandelbrot himself is that he has sometimes collaborated with the late conny plankton (who also engineered these two tracks), a legendary figure of the maine/nova scotia electronic music scene. pablo also insists that both tracks are >under exclusive license from lob-starr records<, although we have never heard of this label and their representatives have yet to contact us. we hope you enjoy these two slices of hypnoboogie disco, smoked, cured and de-boned for your convenience.

go hiyama has always been a very interesting artist for me, ever since he emerged in 2002 on james ruskins coda label. both his musical & production style have changed a lot since then and i personally feel theres still no one out there who comes near to what he is doing. we planned on working together since a long time now and i am glad we finally made it work with this brilliant 4 tracker. no fillers. all 4 tracks have been tested thoroughly in my sets and always stood out as highlights.

here comes the second release on the pattern repeat label. pattern repeat is a new music-project and label by kenneth christiansen, echocord & echocord colour label boss, and his partner dennis bøg aka resoe, running the baum label.the pattern repeat label will only contains productions from kenneth & dennis, and the music is focused on the modern berlin techno sound today, dubstep and dub-techno. pattern repeat will also release records on other labels, so far the first one is out on echocord colour. kenneth and dennis met eachother 8 years ago when they worked together in at that time famous copenhagen-record-shop >loud<, which closed 5 years ago. at that time dennis was more into broken beat, hip-hop and deep house. kenneth was already running the label echocord, and soon dennis started his label baum. the label baum is also like echocord, releasing dub-techno, and dennis started to release his own material as resoe, and builded up his studio the years after. 1 year ago we decided to try to do a new project together, working together in the studio, and now pattern repeat is born.
